Londie London has found herself in hot water with a fashion designer.
The fashion scene often thrives on symbiotic relationships between designers and celebrities and influencers but, sometimes, those arrangements turn sour.
Enter Pfadzani Exodus, a fashion business owner who is calling out London for unpaid clothing bills.
According to “Sunday World”, back in 2019, London and Pfadzani struck a deal: London would don Pfadzani's designs for free, flaunting them on social media and at high-profile events in exchange for brand promotion.
While it sounds like a win-win situation, it didn’t stay rosy for long.
Pfadzani recounts a visit from London to her Randburg boutique, where the reality TV star requested three items to sell to her clients due to a stock shortage. Trusting their partnership, Pfadzani handed over several pieces worth R17k but when it came time to settle the bill, London went MIA.
"I did not have a problem because she was the ambassador of my brand. I even told her that for as long as she continues to wear my label and promote it, I don’t have a problem," Pfadzani shared.
However, their once promising collaboration began to crumble when London allegedly started playing games.
The plot thickened when London showed up at Pfadzani's Rosebank store and scooped up three more items, including a chic velvet suit and a wrap dress.
But instead of a thank you, Pfadzani got R3 000 via eWallet – a far cry from the R17,000 owed.
London tried to justify the shortfall in a WhatsApp message, stating, "Thought about it and paying your 7k (sic). I don’t want any drama, honestly. You’ve threatened me enough; I have not opened your parcel yet, but I thought about it, and I don’t like what’s happening."
London claimed she only owed R7 000 for items that didn’t fit. But Pfadzani wasn't having it. She fired back, demanding the full R17 000, plus another R8 500 for additional clothes London had taken and supposedly lost.
