Bafana Bafana has had to postpone travel plans after the team's FIFA World Cup 2026 departure plans hit a bump in the road due to visa issues.
The team was due to depart on a chartered flight for Mexico to represent South Africa at the FIFA World Cup from the OR Tambo International Airport early on Sunday morning; however, it had to be postponed.
The SABC reported that several players had not been issued with visas, allegedly due to an administrative mix-up.
The South African men's national soccer team is due to play Mexico in the opening match on June 11. Bafana Bafana was drawn in Group A for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
