When P.E.T (PRAYER ENERGY TRUTH), Thuso RSA, and August Child SA stepped into the studio, the goal wasn’t just to make another single, it was to explore the spaces where love and spirituality meet. The result is “Gama Lakho,” a track set to drop on February 13, 2026, that feels both intimate and universal, carrying a message that goes beyond beats and hooks.

The collaboration, which emerged from a foundation of shared intent, comes from typical studio sessions. “The common thing that we all had in the studio was how we could carry a message of love that feels universal while also adding our personal experiences,” they stated collectively. This synergy has resulted in emotional resonance, creating a  that track seeks to connect deeply with listeners.

P.E.T explained that his vision directed the project from the outset, emphasising the importance of crafting a sound that would invoke powerful feelings of love and spirituality. “I brought the vision of the sound and reached out to Young Tune Beats to assist with the composition,” he remarked. “My role was to anchor the project in meaning.”

Thuso RSA, who has flourished since his time on Idols, took a storytelling approach to the song. “When I am singing, I feel people’s emotions come alive or are healed,” he expressed, highlighting the emotional journey he embarked upon through this collaboration. “This experience is a turning point for me, allowing exploration into new vocal textures and deeper emotional layers.”

August Child SA, whose songwriting has enriched the industry, leveraged his experience to shape the song’s language, ensuring it could speak to both the spirit and accessibility. “As the head writer, I refined the lyrics to deliver a catchy hook with spiritual depth,” he explained. The crafted lyrical structure serves as both a call to reflection and a hook for listeners, drawing them into the heart of the song.

For P.E.T, engaging both Thuso and August marked a pivotal shift in his understanding of music’s impact that it could be a response to the negativity surrounding love. He noted, “Gama Lakho wasn’t just a single; it was a deliberate response aimed at reminding people that love is powerful and worth believing in.”

In a landscape marked by the urgency for viral hits, the artists consciously prioritised substantial content over trendy sound bites. “Yes, it was a conscious decision; in a fast-moving climate, it’s easy to get lost in trends. With ‘Gama Lakho’, our intention was to spread a message that resonates with people,” P.E.T reflected.

Although they hail from different creative backgrounds, collaboration flourished effortlessly. “There was no challenge with the creative process; each talent came with a unique set of skills, and we operated with a shared vision and discipline,” said P.E.T. Their collective commitment to purpose reflects a growing trend among contemporary artists who seek to foster meaningful connections through their art.

“Gama Lakho” is its authentic African rhythm, designed to resonate deeply with its audience. “The sound was deliberately crafted to feel both soulful and distinctly African, echoing love and authenticity,” P.E.T noted, describing his collaboration with Young Tune Beats as a vital component in achieving this goal.

Throughout the creation of “Gama Lakho,” the artists held a deep regard for the listener, aiming to create music that enriches the soul. As August Child SA aptly stated, “It’s a song designed to serve the listener’s spirit and spread love.”

Moreover, P.E.T sees the significance of such music as extending beyond mere entertainment. “Songs like ‘Gama Lakho’ slow listeners down, offering moments of reflection. They aren’t just heard; they’re profoundly felt,” he emphasised. This holistic approach ensures that the impact of the song lingers long after its conclusion.

While “Gama Lakho” stands strong, it also hints at a larger collaboration on the horizon. P.E.T revealed, “The collaboration didn’t just end here; it opened doors for something bigger.” Plans are already in motion for an EP and a joint project tentatively titled “The Individuals.”

As the trio looks to the future, their commitment to producing heartfelt music remains unwavering. “Expect more heartfelt and authentic music; we’re just getting started,” Thuso promised, while P.E.T hinted at forthcoming live performances. “2026 is about more music and taking this energy from the studio to the people.”

With “Gama Lakho,” P.E.T, Thuso RSA, and August Child SA present not merely a song, but a heartfelt reminder of the enduring power of love, intention, and spirituality in modern music.
