Minnie Dlamini has shared a personal message on X, following recent controversial comments made by podcaster MacGyver "MacG" Mukwevho.
On a recent episode of Podcast and Chill, MacG discussed Dlamini’s past relationships and made offensive remarks about her personal life, sparking backlash on social media.
In her post, Dlamini reflected on her identity and career, stating, “My ‘anti-bride’ era… 🖤 My career has never been, and will never be, defined by my relationship status. I was Minnie before marriage, and I will be Minnie long after my divorce.”
The post was accompanied by a photo of her TrueLove magazine cover, where she appears in black lace and on an inside page with a black lace veil.

Although Dlamini did not directly address the comments made by MacG, her post seemed to offer a subtle response, reaffirming her focus on her career and personal growth.
During a recent episode of Podcast and Chill, MacG and co-host Sol Phenduka discussed Dlamini’s breakup with her ex-partner, Dr Brian Monaisa.
The conversation quickly spiralled into controversial territory.
"Why can’t she keep a man? There’s got to be something wrong with her — maybe her coochie smells or something," MacG said during the discussion, adding: "It happens, man, especially with the hot girls."
Dr Brian Monaisa and Minnie Dlamini, who recently ended their relationship, have found themselves at the centre of a public storm after podcaster MacGyver ‘MacG’ Mukwevho made offensive remarks about Dlamini’s past relationships. Monaisa has since come to her defence, calling out the podcast hosts for disrespecting women.

The comments caused immediate outrage online, with many on platform X (formerly Twitter) calling for MacG’s podcast to be cancelled and his platform to be shut down entirely.
Reacting to the controversy, Dr Monaisa took to Instagram, criticising the podcasters for tearing down women. "What cap is this? MacG and Sol have shown they have a real issue with successful women," Monaisa wrote. "I stand for the integrity of women. These hardworking, respectful individuals deserve better than to be attacked by little weasels."
This isn’t the first time MacG’s comments have landed him in legal hot water. In October 2024, he was slapped with a R13-million lawsuit after spreading damaging rumours about amapiano star Nkosazana Daughter.
During an earlier broadcast, MacG implied that Nkosazana Daughter had been involved in an affair with fellow musician Master KG - and that her child was allegedly fathered by him, not her then-partner Sir Trill.
MacG later issued a public apology after Nkosazana Daughter’s family refuted the claims, saying he regretted making assumptions based on a photo of the child. "We were wrong. She looks just like Sir Trill," he said, offering an apology. However, he also claimed to have information from a “credible source” alleging that Sir Trill was not financially supporting the child.
The latest backlash has renewed calls for accountability in the podcasting space, with growing demands for platforms to take stronger action against content creators who perpetuate misogyny or spread harmful narratives under the guise of entertainment.
As social media users continue to rally for MacG’s removal, it remains to be seen whether the outspoken podcaster - often praised for pushing boundaries - has finally crossed a line too far.
