Trevor Noah, the South African comedian and host of the 2026 Grammy Awards, has sparked a fiery response from US President Donald Trump, who is now threatening to take legal action against him following a remark made during the show.
While hosting the star-studded event, Noah, in his signature style, referenced both Trump and Bill Clinton in connection with the infamous Epstein Island.
"There you have it, song of the year! Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow. That's a Grammy that every artist wants - almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense because, since Epstein's gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton," said Noah.
This remark quickly set off a chain of events, with Trump taking to his Truth social media to lash out at Noah.
"I told you, it's my last year! What are you going to do about it?" Noah added, who hosted the Grammys for the last time after six turns.

In a lengthy post, Trump vehemently denied ever having visited Epstein Island, calling Noah’s comment “false,” “defamatory,” and “incorrect.”
"WRONG!!! I can't speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight's false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media," he said.
Trump's fury didn’t stop at just a rebuttal. He went on to insult the comedian, labeling him a “total loser” and a “pathetic, talentless dope of an MC.” Trump made it clear that he intended to take action, announcing that he would “be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an MC, and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I'm going to have some fun with you!"
On Friday, the US Justice Department released more than three million pages of documents, including videos and images, related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, with former President Donald Trump mentioned in the files. The ongoing controversy surrounding Epstein Island continues to cast a shadow over both Trump and Bill Clinton, with both men linked to the late financier and sex offender.
Noah has not publicly responded to Trump’s remarks.
