Three Greyhound buses destroyed in Boksburg depot fire

Three Greyhound buses and a trailer were burned at the company's Jet Park depot in Boksburg, the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department said on Monday.

EMPD spokesperson Eric Maloka said that the incident occurred on Sunday, with no injuries or fatalities reported.

"Fire was well contained and put to rest by our fire crews with conjunction with ACSA fire rescue; their rescue and water tanker were on site," Maloka said.

"Two buses managed to escape the fire and were driven to a safer area."

According to the EMPD, the cause of the fire was unknown, and investigations were underway.
