A piano note rises over a steady beat, strings swell beneath rolling percussion, and the dance floor moves as one.
That is the world of Nora En Pure, a DJ whose sound blends melody, rhythm and atmosphere into a set that feels both intimate and expansive.
Next month, South African fans will step back into that world as she brings her 'Purified' event series home for a two-city tour.
The tour will feature two outdoor shows. In Cape Town, she performs on Friday, March 13, at Cabo Beach Club at the V&A Waterfront. The following night, Saturday, March 14, she heads to Johannesburg for a show at James & Ethel Gray Park in Melrose.
Born Daniela Di Lillo in Johannesburg to a South African mother and Swiss father, Nora En Pure grew up in Switzerland but has long maintained a connection to her roots.
She often speaks about drawing inspiration from nature, especially the ocean, and that influence shapes her productions.
Piano leads, layered strings, and tribal percussion sit at the centre of her music, giving it emotional weight while keeping the dance floor in motion.
She broke through internationally in 2013 with “Come With Me”, a track that spent more than seven months on the Beatport Top 100 and introduced her to a global audience.
Since then, she has built a catalogue that includes favourites such as “Tribe of Kindness”, “Life on Hold”, “Monsoon” and “Delta”.
Her recent releases include “Watermark”, “Teahupoo”, “Space” and the “Senses of Comfort” EP, all of which are likely to feature in her South African sets.
"Purified" has grown far beyond a party brand. What began as a radio show has evolved into a label and a touring event series.
Through Purified Records, launched in 2019, she champions melodic dance music and partners with conservation group OnlyOne, donating 30 percent of release revenue to ocean preservation projects.
The "Purified" events themselves have travelled to cities such as New York and Miami, as well as to locations including the Swiss Alps, turning each show into a meeting point between music and nature.
Now, with Cape Town and Johannesburg on the calendar, South African fans will once again experience the sound that has defined her global rise.
