As part of our community upliftment programme, the CTIJF, in partnership with Concerts SA, is also proud to host a free and exclusive industry masterclass led by Wendy Verwey Bekker on the same day.

The masterclass, titled "Getting your music out there", will take place from 9am until 1pm at 44 MainStreet, Ferreiras Dorp, Johannesburg.

With over 18 years of experience, including a decade at Universal Music South Africa, Wendy has helped break global stars, like Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, into the South African market, and export independent African talent to the world stage, including the likes of Easy Freak, Monaky and lordkez.

Sign up here for the masterclass, which closes on February 19.

TTF was founded in 2021 in the post-lockdown period. It takes place every last Tuesday of the monthand has become a vital, community-focused platform that places artists at the centre while boldlyredefining funk.

The format breaks away from conventional events while encouraging creativity. There are no jazz standards, no straight covers and no fixed bands. Instead, artists perform in theirpersonal capacity, free from genre limitations and expectations.

The CTIJF x TTF evening is produced by Telling Honest And Authentic Tales (THAT), a creative partnership between Jab A Jaw and Siyabonga Mthembu, and supported by Concerts SA.
