Lindsay Lohan's 'Freakier Friday' press tour: a nostalgic 'Parent Trap' fashion throwback

Lindsay Lohan paid homage to her iconic breakout film “The Parent Trap” by recreating two of her most memorable looks from the 1998 movie. 

During her recent press tour for the upcoming film “Freakier Friday”, Lohan showcased her impressive transformation, bringing back the dual styles of Hallie Parker and Annie James, the twins who were separated at birth, both played by Lohan.

In a nod to her character Annie, Lohan appeared on “Good Morning America” wearing a recreated modern look of Annie’s outfit from the film.  

Her outfit consisted of a butter yellow two-piece set from Balmain’s pre-spring 2026 collection, featuring a tweed jacket with a white and black plaid pattern and a matching miniskirt. The ensemble subtly referenced Annie’s signature yellow cardigan.

Later that day, Lohan transformed into her character Hallie on “Live with Kelly and Mark”. She wore a fitted, cheongsam-inspired minidress by Roberto Cavalli, complete with a mandarin collar, corset-style waist, and a pattern featuring tropical birds, flowers, and branches. 

The look resembled Hallie’s soft pink cheongsam-style dress from the movie, showcasing Lohan’s attention to detail and dedication to recreating the iconic look.

This nostalgic tribute comes shortly after Lohan reunited with her “Parent Trap” co-stars Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix at the “Freakier Friday” premiere in Los Angeles. 

The 39-year-old actress is currently promoting the long-awaited sequel to her classic film “Freaky Friday”.

Lohan’s press tour for “Freakier Friday” has turned into a nostalgic celebration, with the actress revisiting her film legacy and embracing the 90s and 2000s fashion. Alongside her “Parent Trap” tributes, she’s also been serving up a couple of Y2K styles.

“Freakier Friday” is set to hit the US theaters on August 8, marking Lohan’s return to the genre that helped define her early career.
